Freight Open Studio
15 September 2024 - 29 September 2024
Freight is a reflection on the journeys we carry—personal, artistic, and communal. This open studio marks the arrival of new residents and the unveiling of a new creative hub, a space where stories converge and collide. With each artist comes a unique cargo: ideas, histories, and visions that have travelled through time, place, and experience.
In this exhibition, the notion of “freight” becomes a metaphor for the weight and value of what we bring with us and what we leave behind. Our new residents unpack their creative processes, inviting you to witness the raw beginnings of their work and engage in a dialogue about the future of artistic expression within this evolving community.
Step inside and discover how this collective explores the personal and universal, the transient and the permanent, all under the banner of Freight—a celebration of both movement and arrival.
